Xavier.

Who is Xavier, more so, what is Xavier? Xavier is a supernatural entity that finds a way into even the strongest of minds. Acting upon repressed urges and hidden thoughts, a Xavier finds his way into the heart, and into the boudoir.

4G and a Trusting Heart.

The biggest flaw with modern dating is the desire to sell yourself short. Dating in itself is an exhausting and tedious task, one which we all endure until we find a “forever” – or an “until further notice”. The problem with dating is that a sense of incredible judgement is placed on your decision to either a) continue dating the person, or b) decide to never see said person again. We dream about our aspirations and begin planning for the future with self-proclaimed confidence and a blinded understanding.

A Story in Three Parts

A human oxymoron, fighting for what I believe in through a shielded gaze and a misconstrued ideology – The epitome of a millennial lifestyle.

More Than an Ending

Closing a chapter and drawing a line through each word, we have come to the final sentence.
Drawn out and exposed, the canvas is stained with the past and discoloured with the search for a future.
I find myself staring blankly into the dark, feeling my jaw unclench and my facial muscles begin to relax.
The sound of the television buzzes in the background as the only light illuminating the darkened room is that of my laptop. The LED light casts a harsh shadow across my face.

Liar, Liar, The World Is On Fire.

As children, we were told to always tell the truth yet as adults a sense of ambiguity is placed on the concept. This poses a new question: when is the truth not acceptable? and is the truth always right?

Dog Whistle Conversation & The Canine Theory.

Drunk on pride and half a bottle of merlot, I sit down and begin to write. During the initial stages of puppy training, teething becomes an act that needs to be nipped in the bud. In a city where men are akin to canines, how do we know the lovers from the fighters, and which ones won’t bite.

1950’s V. 2015 – What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Being single in the city is supposed to have its own benefits: surrounded by hundreds of attractive, entrepreneurial types, ready to jump in and fund your shoe habit. It seems that I have been under many false pretences, for television romantic comedies have done nothing but lie to me. Looking around the city, I find…

Love is a Yorkshire Terrier from Hell.

Growing up we are always told to follow our heart, but is this piece of parental advice considered correct? I have found that the heart can easily be persuaded. The human heart is a muscle, it does not think nor do they hold the ability to make change… a heart can break and can be easily shattered and puppeteered to fit certain needs.

Heartbreak Warfare.

Coming back from Kingston, I walk through the city centre. Bags under my eyes and in my hands, I walk through the highly populated Dundas Square. Eight in the evening and the centre is still jam packed. Pushed through a queue and shuffled down the sidewalk, I feel as if I am a rain drop…

Cinderella and A Cocktail.

Joining the masses of faux fur and over priced clothing, I headed to David Peacut square to attend Toronto Fashion Week. Being surrounded by photographers attempting to capture candid shots of guests, it was quite impossible to not pose. While I have a firm love of fashion, I fail to see the allure of fashion…

Dawson’s Creek & chilled espresso.

As I looked out onto the misty skyline, I try to clear my mind…to find some sort of ‘mental solace’. The mist covers the trees and the skyscrapers that build up the city line until they are fully out of sight. The hazy fog of autumn humidity wraps around me, leaving a trail of sweat…
